Have your logo converted manually or automatically?
What is the difference between manual and automatic vectorization?
There are various companies that vectorize your pixel logo for relatively low prices. Some have developed software with which you can automatically convert your logo to vector yourself. Very attractive it all seems.
When your pixel logo is automatically converted to vector, the result will in most cases be (very) disappointing. In the illustration below, you can see the difference. On the left, you see the submitted pixel file that looks quite grainy and blurry. In the middle, you can see the result of automatically converting this pixel logo to a vector logo. In small format, this poor finish may still seem somewhat acceptable, but imagine how this looks when you have this logo printed large or printed on a banner or sign, or have it stuck on your vehicle. What impression do you leave behind with your potential customers? On the right, you can see the vector result when you have your pixel logo manually converted to a vector file, the quality you should expect from professional service.
In addition to the poorer quality of an automatically converted vector logo, the guarantee is often nowhere to be found. Because these companies cannot manually adjust the logo for the low rate offered, you'll unfortunately have to make do with it in most cases. The disadvantage with companies that offer you automatic software is that you usually have to create an account and take out a subscription.
