What is a vector drawing?

What is a raster image?

More expensive and specialized packages like Adobe Illustrator even have a so-called auto trace or image trace function. This function automatically turns your drawing into a vector drawing! Unfortunately, that also sounds too good to be true. Once you've automatically created a vector drawing this way, the result is actually always disappointing. The next step is then that quite a bit still needs to be manually adjusted in the final vector drawing. And packages like Adobe Illustrator don't exactly excel in user-friendliness. The best approach is to trace an image directly by hand in a package like Adobe Illustrator, but as we said, such packages are difficult to use and not very intuitive. Most of these packages are often quite pricey too.

Creating a vector drawing yourself from, for example, a logo is quite a task that takes time and patience. But it's important that you present your logo well, so you can't really avoid it.
